Due to the diversification of the use of different currencies in Venezuela and the entry into force of the reform of the Tax on large financial transactions, published in the Extraordinary Official Gazette of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela No. 6,687 of February 25, 2022, arises the need to be able to visualize the transactions that are carried out day by day in the currencies that are executed or in their equivalent rates.

Just like invoicing and payments, that is why we offer you the solution to be able to visualize several of the accounting processes of Odoo in multi-currency.

Billing management in multi-currency with agreed currency

In the main processes such as billing and payments of these Odoo applications, a customization was made to enter an exchange rate per currency and also manage its link with the payment terms and view the reports of these transactions in multi-currency.

Exchange differential

In some economies, an average weekly or monthly rate may be used for all foreign currency transactions that take place in that period. However, in Venezuela, where exchange rates fluctuate, the use of that average rate is inappropriate, so the exchange rate on the transaction date of each operation must be used.
A solution capable of recognizing the exchange rate difference is offered for collections and payments made in foreign currency, including validations according to the operations carried out.

Balancing payments by rounding

At the time of paying debts or making collections, differences may occur due to rounding, they are solved with a balance in the accounting entries so that they are correct.
